Taking Mark Twain’s advice, I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. In the past I worked in air traffic, on ocean liners, and on mushroom farms before coming a full time gliding instructor.
In my native Hungary I grew up on the flatland. (And by flat I mean it). So I always had a great desire for the mountains. I wanted to soar in the mountains, and I wanted to live in a small village in the mountains. For me Omarama is my ideal place to live, and to glide.
Over the last 16 years of gliding I have accumulated 2500 hours, organized many championships, including two world championships. Now as a mountain flying instructor I can realise my dream of introducing people to gliding in a really spectacular environment.
Sitting in the back of a Glide Omarama Duo Discus is a perfect place for me because I am also a landscape photographer. I am really keen on sharing this amazing place with you all through my photographs.
