Mike Till

Mike learned to fly at Lasham in the U.K. where Derek Piggott taught him to instruct.  He has flown and worked for the London Gliding Club and The Gliding Centre at Husbands Bosworth in the U.K. over the years, instructing, towing, competing, and whenever possible doing aerobatics.

Mike has been a parachute jump pilot, qualified skydiver and ski instructor.

He is an experienced tow pilot, but gets most joy and satisfaction from trying to pass on his skills, especially in mountain flying, to pilots and newcomers alike.

Mike has flown in the New Zealand mountains since the year 2000 and joined the Glide Omarama team in 2005 through to 2018.  Now retired from instructing at Omarama he is still passing on his skills to our instructors.
